BULLY BOY + THE BLUE ROOM HOST SPECIAL EVENT
TO LAUNCH DISTILLERY’S FIRST AGED SPIRIT
WHAT'S UP?:
Bully Boy Distillers, Boston’s first craft distillery, has partnered with The Blue Room for a special tasting event to introduce their first aged spirit, American Straight Whiskey. The whiskey represents an exciting addition to the craft distiller’s current lineup of celebrated un-aged spirits, including vodka, white whiskey, and white rum.
Bully Boy’s aged whiskey uses corn, rye, and malted barley as the primary ingredients, and it is aged in new American Oak. The corn makes for subtle sweetness, and the high rye content creates a dry spiciness; the flavors are further refined through the barrel-aging process, which imparts both a prominent caramel note and a nutty finish.
Guests are invited to sample the new whiskey, meet Bully Boy founders Will and Dave Willis, and enjoy custom cocktails handcrafted by The Blue Room’s Matt Schrage and sister wine bar Belly’s Fanny Katz. In addition, The Blue Room & Belly’s Executive Chef Robert Grant will serve a smattering of smoky meat-centric bites perfect for pairing with aged whiskey.
